Every time I try to render a video all skins render as steve and alex. I have only had this issue when I recorded with mods. Now its happening even if I record with out other mods.

    java version - 8 update 161
    windows 10 64 bit
    forge - 1.8.9-11.15.1.2318-1.8.9

Please post the contents of the fml-client-latest.log file inside the logs folder inside your .minecraft folder to some pastebin site and link to the post here.

Note that this log will only contain information on the last time you started Minecraft, not any previous runs.

    Experiencing same issue

    java version "1.8.0_25"
    Win 10 64bit
    FML Version 14.23.0.2508 - Minecraft 1.12.2

Have experienced this same issue in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer Worlds, when rendering (and not when just viewing replay) with or without nametags rendered. Attempts have been made both with and without Optifine, with or without other mods (forge or otherwise) installed. Renderings made of replays downloaded from the replayCenter experience the same issue.

Log attached was running an installation that includes Optifine, Schematic, Lunatrius Core, and Xaero's Minimap

Because the log was slightly above the max Pastebin size (for free users) I've split into 2

As a slight followup, I've noticed that this issue is not present when rendering a Screenshot.
